Corvette: Rebuilding an Icon on Discovery Channel last night.
Re: Corvette: Rebuilding an Icon on Discovery Channel last night.
I think I read in one of the many magazine tests that the windows automatically roll down a little bit when you open and close the door, so maybe they do that when the hatch is open too? Since that feature is already in place for the doors, it should take just a little programing and a few more wires to include it with the hatch.
They could've also used one of those trunkpull down things that have been in millions of Cadillacs and Buicks over the years (since at least the erly 90s), but I don't know how much weight that would've added.
I think it would be cool if they did a power open and close for the hatch like some minivans and SUVs have, but that definitely would've added to much weight.

Third and 4th gens did too. I wish Chevy put in my Maxx to close the hatch.
Re: Corvette: Rebuilding an Icon on Discovery Channel last night.
4th gens did not have the pull down...heck, we didn't even get a cargo area light....I think too many fingers were crushed (no stop like on a garage door!) to bring it back.

Unfortuantely, I don't have the equipment to do that.
If you really want to see it, they said after the shoiw that you can purchase it from Discovery on DVD... probably can get it on the website or calling somehow.

21.95 from the discovery site
You may want to check amazon and see if they have it for cheaper.
On Oct 3rd at 12 there is Rebuilding an American Racecar legend which i believe is about the new Ford GT. Then at one is Corvette: Rebuilding an American Legend.
RP do you know if there will be another "All Corvettes are Red" book for the C6. Any authors doing that type of thing again?
