Well to begin with, they shouldn't have started with inspiration from the C4 corvette because that's what it looks like

I think I would have shot for something a bit like the twin cowl stuff from the 60's and 50's.

Thumbs up Re: Corvette Live Reveal 1/13/13 @ 7pm EST

I'm liking the different interior color options so far.

OK. So I can see the similarities between the C4 and C7 dashes, but the execution in the C7 is way better.

Absolutely.

Overall the car looks great. I would prefer it be a smidgen cleaner, but overall at least an A.

Strangely the thing I am most on the fence about is them using Stingray on it. It didn't really make sense to have two names for the car the first time around either.

after looking at it for a few hours I can see several places on the C7 that remind me of the C3...

I'm not digging it........the exterior styling with the Camaro back end....the front end that looks like a Scion FR-S.....or the interior. I'm gonig to wait until the premium/Z06 models debut before final judgement but I'm kinda Glad I bought my 2011 Grand Sport Vert when I did............

I have to say I actually like pretty much everything about it.

I was very concerned about the rear end coming in to this, but seeing the real car, I am OK with it, and I think it looks pretty cool in the bright red color.

Remembering back to the C5 and C6 launches, there was stuff I didnt like immediately each time... I can't say that about this car.

I think it looks great, it looks fresh, they broke some new ground in styling with the quarter windows and more, but it all works for me.

I dont really have any issues with the interior either, looks great.

to the new Stingray!

I'll say that I'm more impressed by seeing it after it was released because the drawings and spy shots didn't do it justice... that said, I'm still very let down.

I like the direction they where heading with it, but it's to "over done"... I've always been a more "Simple Is Better" type of person. All the stupid vents take away from it and I'm not feeling the cuts around the tail lights. It just seems as if it could be a very beautiful car had it been more toned down...

I think where it departs from the traditional Vette look is the use of a side quarter window...

Still, It's Eleventy Billion times better looking than the new Viper! but that's not saying much

Oh, and a huge thumbs up to the use of the Stingray name! I've always loved that name for the Vette! the emblem is pretty sweet too!

It's both evil and sexy... I LOVE IT!

Interior is kind of a let down, but the rest more than makes up for it, as long as the seats have enough bolster to hold you *** in place in the twisties!

And the C4 interior was inspired by the C2 interior... so where are we going with this?

It think the car looks like a modern interpretation of the original Stingray, now that we know that was their intentions from the beginning.

The dash doesn't seem to photograph well straight on. You need to view it from the side to see the depth to some of the features.

Re: Corvette Live Reveal 1/13/13 @ 7pm EST

I like the car overall. IT looks very Corvette to me. Love the nose and headlights. Big fan of the grille in the hood. I like the style of the rear hatch. It was time to make a change to the glass hatch and this looks very good.

However the rear end is terrible. Too busy and I don't like that the lower half is black. It would look better in body color. It's hard to style what really is a slab flat back end. And I know if they just put 4 round tail lights out back and called it a day people would have complained that they didn't do enough to make it look new from C4, C5, C6. I just think they went too far. Tried too hard. I'm sure the look will grow on me but IMO it's a major letdown to hang that rear end on a car that looks that good everywhere else.

Interior is a big upgrade in both style and from what I'm reading materials used. Not sure how I feel about the digital dash. Iconic cars like the Corvette should be modern but retain the classic elements of their history. Porsche does a great job with their dash on the 911.

Anything that you take a picture off with a pop up flash is not going to look good... That picture has pop up flash that is the worst kind of light ever...

The visible carbon fiber is an option. You can get it painted, or a transparent targa.
