I dunno about this win....It's like winning by default...Where's the competition? If I was in a race against myself, and I won, it's not that great a deal.

"The 2007 Field of Contenders
The Chevrolet Silverado was one of only five trucks eligible for the Truck of the Year title, and of those five contenders, four (including the Silverado) were GMT900-based vehicles from General Motors."

TOTY is always an all new design for a truck unless there was no all new design that year.

This year that left the Silverado, and maybe the Tundra, though the Tundra hasn't even been seen by most of the public, much less offered for sale... so I dunno if it's eligible or not.

The Tundra wasn't included. The other contender was the Ford Explorer Sport-Trac. Like said, this is a stupid award. It does give something to advertize though (saw it on the Tacoma on the side of a Toyo delivery truck and already saw a Silverado commercial with it this year).
