Just a middle eastern market test car. Foreign market stuff shows up in the U.S. all the time.

Same as the GTO being the Lumina SS in the middle east previously.

Yes..... the Chevrolet Lumina IS the Pontiac G8's sister car.

No..... it won't be available at your local Chevrolet dealer anytime in the forseeable future.

1. This car is for sale in the Middle East.
2. Our Chevrolet "Zeta" will have a different skin and interior.

That's a shame... AWESOME looking car

The "caprice" they have in the middle east is one sweet looking ride too!

You know... I actually like that. A lot.

This is almost getting silly now. I'm as big a Pontiac supporter as you'll see, but why are they still around? There is no product they sell (or in the pipeline it seems) that couldn't be a Chevy or a Saturn. That foreign market "Lumina" should be here on the streets right now.

How much did it cost GM to dump Olds again? How much is it costing GM to keep Pontiac afloat by throwing slow selling, badge engineered products (Solstice excepted) at them? How much better could the other divisions be with Pontiac's slice of the pie gone from GM's budget?

And for the record, I think Buick should go as well for the same reason.

Wonder how much horsepower that goofy looking wing on the back adds?

Solstice is badge engineering as well. Opel and Vauxhall had it first in Europe.

Sorry but NO, the Kappa platform debuted with the Pontiac Solstice both in concept and in production. It is the original and the others are "badge engineered"

Actually, the Solstice "concept" was a cobbled up J-car (Cavalier), with a bunch of off the shelf parts to convert it to RWD. Kappa as we know it, wasn't even a gleam in anyone's eye when the concept was unveiled.

Well, by that same argument, there's nothing in the Chevy & Saturn line-ups that couldn't be, or already is, a Pontiac or Buick rebadge. You could move everything at Chevy (including the 'vette) to Pontiac, & all of the Saturns to Buick & except enthusiasts most people would hardly note the difference. Now we all know this could never happen but I think you get my point. Except for the 'vette Chevy has nothing that's brand exclusive.
