I think it means that the Cobalt's interior doesn't cause cancer...as often in lab rats as other vehicles.

It measures the amount of Bromine, Chlorine, and lead in the car. Also a few other chemicals. But those are the main ones.

Thats an interesting finding. I'm surprised that the Cobalt had one of the healthier interiors, I would almost expect the materials to be a little cheaper in that car.

Interior is on par with most $15,000 dollar cars. Which might have something to do with it. Chemicals arent free you know. I dont think any car manufactur really strives to be the healthest.

Isn't that called, "New Car Smell"...

I remember not to long ago when there was a lot of concern with the levels of toxic out-gasing in RV's and Mobile homes...seems that it was formaldahyde.
