Owned a couple of V8 Monza Spyders and a V6 in the mid-80s, and I'd still say they were the most fun, gokart-like, tossable cars I ever owned. I'd be the 1st to join you in saying GM needs to bring back a car like that, but I'd have to disagree with the V8. There's no need for small V8s anymore with n/a 3.6s putting out 320+hp and lightly blown sixes pushing 370+.
The 3.6 V6 (now at 320hp) is more in the spirit of the Monza V8 and would make a car that size and purpose far more than just a little bit entertaining.

So, this doesn't look like anything that was shown in Detroit. What is it then? Maybe it will show up in April in New York.

Ya know, maybe it's nothing.
The design studios do design studies all the time that don't lead anywhere.
What would make a good coffee table book is one full of pics & details about these studies.

That would be a great book, and I would want to see designs from each of the big 3.

Nothing has popped up in spy photos or the show circuit that matches the size or lines on the car in Chevy 100. I'm still thinking it could be the Chevrolet Alpha, or at least, one version of it.

I am thinking next gen. Cruze or Volt.
I was talking to one of my Chevy dealers (owner) last week and he told me he was at a GM event for dealers and he was shown the next Impala, Cruze, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban. He really didn't elaborate on anything other than he was blown away with the Impala, especially the interior.
But it sounds like the next Cruze is ready to go.
