What are they trying to say, that the dude that did those designs is gonna have something to do with the 5th Gen and how it looks??

 

Every car has it critics even the 1st Gen. I've heard people say they didn't like them before. But you gotta realize that most younger people that want Camaros (that is where the market really is, this is who to go after if they want sales again, like the way M*****gs have) aren't gonna want a car that looks like that unless they can say "yeah that a 67!!" to justify the way back styling. Its just not the same as owning the real thing.

But see, a car like this: http://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/atta...postid=1071132[/url] (It'd be great if it was a Z28 though) I could like because it has a combination of obvious 1st and Third Gen (2 best to me, Third more) influences, although it has kinda 4th Gen-like doors. IMO the car could use wheel well/fender flares. If it had a spoiler and the parking lights weren't cut into the fender it would look even better IMO.

1st Gen cues: Practically most of the body. Front bumper, quarter panel, quarter window, (I could do without that) mirrors, (It could benefit from more Third Gen-like mirrors) and hood louvers.

Third Gen cues: Shape of the headlight area, shape of the hood louvers, IROC looking rims, top of the car/T-Tops, hidden windshield wipers, long hood, the cars length and low stance, the lower body GFX look, wide tires and rims.

You gotta have cues, all Camaros always do in some way, (some more than others) but you gotta blend it with some new. The new M*****g obviously doesn't want to do this and IMO thats a mistake.

 

I love it!!!! It looks Frealing Mean. Thats how a modern muscle car should look. To bad Chevy cant do something like that.

I give the guy A LOT of credit for hard work, and I'm not saying it looks bad...


But, man, let's just run all the old cars through the Xerox Machine and see what comes out...

 

Damn, I mist it I had a 1st gen for years, and if they did it right I would buy it. I am hoping they go this route. I'm already saving my money. I find it funny that he pulled the pics, any one else, think this smells fishy?

 

According to the Chevelles.com thread, the pictures are going to be used in a magazine.

 

What would that have to do with them being shown here? I would really have liked to see this pic From the response it got, it must have been kick ***. Oh well

 

It is a kicka** designed 5thgen concept.

 

The magazine wouldnt want it on the net while that issue is out because they want people to buy the magazine to buy it. And it was tight.

 

OK, So does anyone know what magazine its supposed to be in?

 

Nope....

Guess we'll have to buy all of 'em to find out.
