Not bad, the front end is too retro for me though. Looks decently modern but there's something not quite right about the shape of the whole rear trunklid area...

......a VERY talented guy (gal?...Kris?!?) with some really coooool software! I wish I had a copy of it!!) It retails for well over $6k!!! damn.... )

Neat to see things in a realistic way...lots of things I'd change, but neat none the less.

The ones on the bottom are cool looking, but I dont want it as a new Camaro, its just way too retro for me.

That is frickin awesome !!!

I think the rear is a little too retro. The round SS concept lights would look better IMO. The front end kicks ***. I think he started out with a C5 and choppped in 69 frnt and rear. Awesome rendering, even form-Z can't do that good a job!

I usually say no to retro, but if you need a retro 5th gen for the new mustang then build this concept!

I want that car! It gives me the same feeling that a Camaro gives me, so I wouldn't mind GM building something like that and calling it a Camaro

I tried to download the softimage software but it costs freaking $1500

that thing is beutiful. i usually dont like retro either but that thing would sell like hell

Oh and i dont think it was modeled after a vette. i think it was a Ferreri 360 Modena.you can tell by the profile of the car and the air intakes above the rear wheel well

Pretty good. But if I wanted a 1st Gen, I'd buy 1, not a "new" 1st Gen.

A little too retro for me, but I like the overall shape of the car.

That thing looks great. Not perfect but a lot of potential. I hope GM is looking on.

Thumbs up

Looks good overall, but the front is a little too retro for my tastes. A little rounding out would do the front end well.

Did anyone see the rear panel scoop? Looks like a Ferrari 360 Modena touch to me

If a retro concept ever gets produced, it needs to stay true to the concept, and can't vary that much. Like the 05 Mustang, most people agree that the drawings looked better than the actual concept car.

I can certainly understand this sentiment for people that had 1st gens already... but I wasn't even born when the 1st gens were made. To me the 1st gen is the meanest and most aggressive looking Camaro of them all and I would love to be able to own a new Camaro recapturing the spirit of that design. I would not go as far to say that the 1st gen design is timeless, but I've rarely heard anyone say they didn't like that design, whereas, the 2nd, 3rd and especially the 4th have garnered their fair share of criticism.

Also, I would love to own a 1st gen if I had the cash available to buy a clean one, if it had a warranty, if I had the time and money to maintain it, if it had the safety features required to feel comfortable driving my wife and kids around. I want a Camaro for a daily driver and a 69 Camaro won't cut it.

I love these new pics...I think it really combines old and new. With that front end, no one will mistake the car for anything else but Camaro!
