"LS2" 6.0l 425hp.
"LS7" 6.0l 475-500hp for MY2006.

I don't have anything close to a firm lock on those figures, but a few of the places I get some info do not disagree with it... not sure how to take that.
I think you LS2 info is right on but wasn't the LS7 going to be 6.4L ?

You are right... I still hear 6.4 rumors, but I've been hearing more and more of the "LS7" sharing displacement with the "LS2" , just as the LS1 and LS6 do today....

Again, this is by no means solid info... just stuff I have heard.

LS7 = 6.3/6.4 (depending on how they decide to round off the displacement)

You mean GM doesn't know how math works? Surely they're brighter than all the Ford guys running around thinking they're driving 5-litre Mustangs .

If you guys are talking about the LS2 being in the BASE Corvette, then I think your wrong w/ its output #'s...I remember at an earlier press conference, someone (god I can't remember who) said something in relation to someones batting average of a certain year. And I remember someone saying that batting average was around .406. So it sounds like thats what the Base Corvette will have...

I guess "five point oh" has a better ring to it than "four point nine".

I know they said the base C6 Vette would have more HP than the current Z06, but I don't think they would make it 1 HP more. I also think that the HP rating will end in a 5 or 0

The LS2 will be 6.0L and the LS7 will be 6.4L, according to GM's RPO list anyway...
The excerpt from the RPO list...

I dunno about what engine is going in what car though.

Where the hell did that list come from?! It is a little outdated (as in not everything on there is right), but still. I can't believe people leak some of the stuff they do.

Well, that just about ends any speculation on that subject!

I take it that "LS4" is for truck and/or SUV usage?

Yes and it goes into production this model year on Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks.

DOD is HERE!!! Let the Sierra club kiss GM's a$$ now.

Hmmmm...

Well, if you assume the RPO codes and their corresponding details are correct, about the only way the assumption could be wrong is if LS2 and or LS7 were not headed for Corvette, but rather other engine(s) (and code(s)) were...

... or am I missing something?

I think that the biggest speculation is 2V or 3V in the LS7.
