Nice! The nose looks a little too long.

I belive that the SS concept is very close to the Camaro then we think.

My impressions are that it is certainly in the ballpark......but with a more agressive nose.

Mind as well just go and buy a 1st Gen. That would be great for all the 1st Gen crazy lunatics out there, but what about everyone else that wants to see it a mix of all Gens with some new and no all-out retro?

(Also the stripes on both of those cars are SS stripes, even on the Z28/RS. That guy couldn't do Z28 stripes?!)

Remember how the 4th gen looked compared to the 3rd gen? They didn't look a lot alike, the 4th gen didn't have any "retro" at all, yet it still 'looked' like what a Camaro should be.
yea, i never figured out how they did that. maybe from 3rd to 4th it was the scooped headlights like the iroc and lt1 types, but that was as far as i could get without getting confused. those guys are good!

Rest assured that if the styling department wanted round headlights, the engineers would not just throw on a set of old sealed beams.

As another retro hater, I'm very disappointed in these sketches. If that's what a 5th gen is going to look like, then I guess I'll have to wait for the 6th gen (2019?) before I buy another Camaro.

I don't think the 5th gen will be that retro. Those sketches are blatantly retro, the actual car won't be.

I'd like to see the next SS get the 4th gen LS1 style Ram Air hood.

I hope the F5 Z28 and SS both have a different look and neither look like the V6.

The third and fourth gen cars weren't that similar beyond headlights? C'mon guys, the fourth gen car was built from the third gen floorpan and general structure so they shared a whole lot more than just headlight pockets! Now granted, the creased fenders were rounded and softened, the windshield raked back, the openings in the body weren't so gaping as in the third gen and the cross-body well containing the axle and gas tank was designed to be deeper to addd structural strength but they were pretty dang close as far as overall appearance and dimensions go. While I'll admit you'd be hard pressed to confuse a third for a fourth gen car, they weren't that different. They were a whole lot closer than say the comparison of second and third gen cars. I would call the 93 and up cars an evolution of the 82-92 series car with a better interior, SLA front suspension and a higher performance drivetrain (at least out of the box) and plastic body panels.

Don't get me wrong here, I am a fan of both iterations and I'm not looking for controversy/flaming here, but I was taken aback by the notion that the two were night and day different except for headlights - at least that how I interpreted the posts.

Now back on topic, I think it was noted somewhere that the headlights were a quad arrangement although covered - I do believe - that may have been at C&G as opposed to here though. I also believe that it was noted that the front end will be raked back and not be so upright as in the 67-69 vein as you portray in your works. Good looking work, BTW and is, by appearance based on the SS concept which I still think is the real starting point.

I thought the fender lines were supposed to be there as well as the mirrors blending with the lines of the front fender?

To be honest, I don't think they would be all that retro if they didn't have the stripe. There is certainly more 1st gen there than any of the other gens (mainly the front end), but overall it looks very much different from any past Camaros to me.
