I voted for the reskinned VE, 05 GTO because while I'd like a reskinned Bengal or Solstice I don't see it happening. Keep your fingers crossed folks each day the Camaro prospect gets better and closer to reality.

The only way I could like this is if its done like the Mustang. The GT has a different front end from the Cobra. But Both are modern, not one retro one “sleek”.
Furthermore I don’t think we need to keep comparing the Solstice as a “Miata on steroids”. Brandon have you even seen the Bengal? it’s the perfect size for a Camaro. Some people on this site need to stop thinking that a Solstice/Bengal based Camaro is going to be some cheap Miata ricer with no capabilities to compete. Isn’t this new platform totally new? Why would Gm spend money on a totally new “performance” platform if it wasn’t going to be a performer. Why does everyone keep calling it cheap? And right now we are talking about the body/chassis structure as GuionM keeps repeating. As I see it this is all the 5th Gen Camaro lacks to get moving. Basically everything else important can be raided from the Corvette and other parts bins. I don’t think we need to count out this new platform before we know any details on it. If its not worthy of the Camaro then I agree we should look into the VE platform. But it looks like the VE platform will be pricey ($35 to $35 grand for a Camaro not good). If the Bengal platform can be turned into a Camaro for less than $30,000 and still do what a Camaro is suppose to do, honestly why not?
I asked this before but I don’t think anyone noticed. Does anyone know when the Bengal and Solstice are suppose to hit the streets? We know they are green lighted, but what year are they coming out?
