It would be interesting if only for the fact that V8's suck gas mostly in the city and hybrids work best in the city. Couple that with DOD on the highway and you could have a seriously fast mizer.

 

Would be a pretty cool option to have and it would get the greenies on our side as well as save gas. Sounds good to me

 

For those that don't think perfomance and hybrid can go together, Mercedes and BMW will be using the same Hybrid system as GM (they developed it together) on their performance cars. Lexus is also coming out with a performance Hybrid and rumor has it that a new Supra would be hybrid.

Imagine if GM beat Toyota to market with being the first one with a hybrid sports car. I bet the Camaro 5.3L Hybrid would be faster and cheaper too.

 

I still can't get the image of the friday-night cruise out of my mind:

Old musclecar: pooketa-pooketa-pooketa . . .

New Camaro hybrid: whirr . . .

Seriously, though, if the hybrid system fits, make it an option and stick the biggest chrome "hybrid" badge you can find on the back and sides of the car. Advertise it. Kick it up Toyota's butt with a roman candle on it.
