I don't know about its personality but wasn't BOF RWD V8 cars part of Chevy's personality at one point? Things change and companies have to adapt to the market. Besides the H3 is already on the SWB 355. How much shorter can they make it and still have passenger room? Also if they shortened it to much they might have to not use the I5 and use the I4 only. I am sure that would go over well.

Re: Camaro, Hummer H4 likely

I dunno, My wife wants an H3. I love them BECAUSE they are on the GMT355. I think GM made a mistake making the Blazers replacement (Trailblazer) larger on the GMT360. That's why I have the previous gen. That and I like the looks of the old Blazers better then the Trailblazers...

But my wife loves the size of the H3 (comperable to the blazer). I do wish they'd offer a V8 and I imagine here soon they will hopefully...

An H4 Wrangler competitor would be awesome. I imagine it would hurt JEEP because I for one am sick of the same styling for the last 50 years. It was cool when I was 16, now it's the same old boring thing. I think a H4 could come in and CLEAN UP... Especially if they offered it with a V8. I'd be in the market for one that's for sure, and I would never consider a Wrangler...

If GM even thinks about making a unibody Hummer - small or not, I never wanna hear you guys bash Honda again for making a unibody/BOF hybrid truck.

Well Threxxy since the H4 would most likely be an SUV and I don't think anyone on this board belives that unibody/BOF/a hybrid of both is bad for SUVs. I think most of the distain for the Ridgeline comes from how it was handled by the press and Honda's own ads pitting it as a fullsize truck when in reality it is not, though the price is there, BTW the above is all IMO.

IMO BOF is better trucks but SUVs and Crossovers are fine as unibodies.

Also Theta has hydrformed frame rails and is a very stiff little platform.

A V8 is 4 cyls. long just like a I4, and a V6 is only 3 cyls. long.

LOL..I agree. Although if the engine is mounted front to back that will win them some points.

Well how the heck do you think a Hummer is going to be handled by the press and Hummer ads? As a street-driven grocery getter, or as a rough tough offroading vehicle, as the Hummer brand is intended to embody?

And that's great about Theta - but the Ridgeline has, from what I've heard from a few sources, class leading torsional and bending rigidity among trucks. Dunno if it's true or not; but that's what I read. It also has very competetive towing and hauling ratings if you consider it to be a large compact truck (rather than a full size)... but as you mentioned; Honda's marketing department used some deceptive advertising to get people thinking 'full size', and I guess they kinda had to for the asking price.

I'm sure Hummer will always be BOF at least until something new comes along... So not really worth arguing about...
