It should also allow them to lower the price of the Volt.

The story makes it sound like a new "Cadillac" technology, however I'm fairly sure its a variant of E-Flex.

I'm actually glad to see its a four passenger car. I feared that it was only a two seater at first.

Remember its just a concept gang. Look how much different the production Volt is in appearance to the original concept. I hope GM puts the Converj into production and its appearance stays relatively close to the concept, however we all know how things tend to soften when concepts become production vehicles.

Just a suggestion.... view the car design and size, not necessarily the powertrain.

No one in the business (at least the big 3) is bringing out designs this season that aren't a sneak peak at an upcoming model. The Volt is based on Delta, and there is no Delta on Cadillac's plate... even electric powered ones.

I would say that one could imagine Cadillac's DI V6 powering the car... and that it might make a good replacement for the XLR.

It looks AWESOME!

As is, not only highly doubtful, but extremely doubtful.... You actually have to sell enough to make it profitable.

That powertrain is always going to cost more than a conventional internal combustion engine, regardless as to what car you put that powertrain.

Are people going to buy an electric-hybrid 2 door Cadillac coupe over, say, a DI, 325 horse V6... especially if it costs substantially more??

I'd at least consider it, pending a test drive and more information about the electric motor drivetrain. I think I'd really enjoy the instant low-end torque.

Wow thats nice. Blows the G6 and Accord out of the water. I think the Camary looks like an ugly boat. I didnt know it was FWD either... I thought this was finally Alpha and reminds me of lamborghini/s or hints of the Cien

I was going to say the same thing. Looks like a cross between the Cein and the CTS coupe. I like it.

I heard today that the Converj uses the styling from the initial Alpha proposal.
