Re: C7 Corvette

Hood = stupid.
Rear window looks generic / Asian. I hope that is a diversion.
Still processing, but I can't see the car coming out like that rendering...

EDIT: Didn't see the part about this being a rendering for the ZR1. That would explain some of the extraneous looking ducts and air channels. Still think it looks a little busy, and I'm not digging the rear as it shows in the "rendering", but we'll see.

The best looking C6 Vettes are the Z06 (without the Z07 package) and the Grand Sports, IMO, not the ZR1.

My rendering is surprisingly accurate.

Re: C7 Corvette

I don't like that hood, but other than that I think it looks nice. Very evolutionary which makes me kind of mad this car wasn't out for 2010 or 2011 instead of 2014. For such a long wait between generations I would have expected more. Maybe it will feel like more once I see it in person.

I'd like to see the base car now.

Re: C7 Corvette

Note the article says the pictures are the ZR1, not the base model...

Re: C7 Corvette

Did anyone read the article? How many times did they state that they "poured over the sheetmetal?" Sheetmetal? SHEETMETAL?! GTFO!

Re: C7 Corvette

I'm expecting more "heritage styling" than this. I think jalopnik is full of it.

Re: C7 Corvette

Am I the only one who sees some Cadillac in it?

I know I am not the only one who thinks this has a great change of being BS.

Yeah... if it has sheetmetal it can't be the Plastic Fantastic, and obviously isn't a Corvette.

Yes. It also kind of reminds me of Nissan GTR for some reason.

Yeah this does have a good chance of being off.

This doesn't appear to have anything from the Stingray concept in it.

I mentioned it on G+

"So, they just gave it a dash of Cadillac Angle seasoning?

Oh well, let's see the numbers! "

It's not like I expect something mind blowing with styling, but if they go retro, I'm just going to leave the boards

Re: C7 Corvette

The more I look at it, the more I dislike it.
The whole greenhouse area reminds me of a Nissan GTR.
Overall, too busy. And the tacked on rear spoiler screams Pep Boys.

The Stingray concept was a MUCH better starting point than this thing.
