Wow.

That is awesome that the LS2 is putting up those times with minor bolt-ons. Now that they are available to buy, I may just drop one in my 35th SS!!!

To be honest, I consider the mods that they made to be minor bolt ons. Really all you are talking about is gears & Headers. The output shaft is pushing it, but it's one of those "might as well, while I'm here" upgrades.

It's not like they put a super charger on it.

One thing of interest is that the car only gained 1mph on the second test going from 12.3's to 11.5's. Most of that gain was from sticky tires/gear.

What's exciting is to see how well the LS7 performs in the new Z06.

Excuse my ignorance, but is there torque management even with the M6?

What does this torque management do? Is it just a fancy term for traction control?

basically, just a tune in the pcm to keep torque down so it doesnt go breaking everything (i.e. trannies, rear ends, etc.)
i'm pretty sure that's what it is (like a detune)

It is an algorithm (sp?) that significantly reduces torque production before a shift to soften the blow to rear end, tranny... pretty much the entire drivetrain.

Basically, yes. PCM pulls a ton of timing right before shifts. I assume on an M6 it does it by reading massive drops in throttle position at high RPMs and assuming that a shift is coming.
