You could make the argument for developing the Torana's architecture here, somewhere.

Re: BMW on the verge of becoming HIGHEST volume Euro brand in US.
1. BMW might beat VW in U.S. sales? Hmmm... Is BMW something right, or is VW doing something wrong?
2. Isn't it amazing that VW hired Bernd Pischetsrieder as Ferdinand Piech's replacement....
....after Bernd Pischetsrieder had been FIRED by BMW?
3. Personally, I like some of the moves that Bernd Pischetsrieder has already made at VW. I'm not even sure that he was wrong (at the time) about BMW buying Rover. He's also alleged to have a great sense of humor, for a German.

The fact they have achieved such great success in spite of the awful "Bangle" designs and "idrive" ( he most horrific user interface known to mankind) is incredible.

BMW: The People's Car
Personally, I don't mind seeing this at all. It just confirm's BMW's descent into mass market mediocrity. In the long run, it's pretty hard to maintain a reputation as a premiere marque when you sell cars that cost less than some Hyundais. When almost any high school dropout working at Burger Thing can afford your wares, are you really that special anymore?
