Between now and 2008/09, which RWD, V8 car will you most consider?

This was brought up in another thread. Since many of us have had a chance to check out the 300C, Magnum R/T, GTO and Mustang...and since we know that a "CC" is NOT around the corner...which new RWD, V8 car between $25K and $35K will you most likely consider?

GTO.

The new Mustang does absolutely, positively nothing for me and the Chrysler group of cars just don't have any youth appeal. (Edit--we know almost nothing about the Charger so I'd withhold it from my option list for now). I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the Goat.

GTO, it will have the LS2 and 6 speed auto. by then and more agressive styling (not that I don't like the current sleeper GTO)

Mustang GT, then Charger and then GTO. The GTO just doesn't do anything for me. It's too plain looking, no style. It's freaking heavy too.

Where's the SRT-6 & 300C?

Seriously, anything with a V8, is very quick, and is under $35,000 is on the radar screen.

GTO, Mustang GT are top choices because I know what they look like. I only have descriptions of the Charger and Cougar, so I have to hold judgement.

The 300C is growing on me too.

For me, GTO or Corvette.

I'll have an interesting choice, though, if I replace the Monte with another daily driver... I'd probably choose between GTO, CTS, and ... gasp... Mustang. And it just kills me to say that, but there are no other choices in that price point that would appeal to me, and the reason I wouldn't consider it before was because the car was a dinosaur.... so, I dunno.... I don't know if I can get past the retro thing though, so most likely I will hold on to the Monte Carlo and hope that Camaro comes out sooner than later.... and I like the styling.

If I went Corvette, it would be a 2nd car for me...

I lumped the 300C in with the other LX cars. I didn't include the SRT-6 because I wanted to restrict the poll to V8's.

And for some strange reason...the 300C, is REALLY growing on me too!

Yeah, I know. Not even that pretty either. That's why I'm having a hard time explaining why these cars are becoming so attractive to me.

Maybe they remind me of my first car...a '70 Delta 88, Holiday Coupe. Big car. Lots of power. Smoking tires.

That's one of the reasons I think the Ford Futura will do well. It's going to look like a scaled down version of the 427 concept. I really liked the slab-sided looks of that car.

charger, charger, charger and thats it. i think the new mustang looks great but i dont want a v8 under 300ci. and by the time GTO is restyled to what i might like, there will be a chevy coupe that gets my vote anyway so based on how much i like the magnum, ill assume they will get charger right, which has always been one of my favs

300C because I need four doors. If the GTO or some other GM derivative came with four doors and didn't exceed 35K, I would buy that first, particularly since there is an optional T-56.

I have to vote Mustang GT, Im sure once those cars have been out for a year I will be able to get one for under 25 grand. And the price is a big deal to a young couple like my wife and I. I like the GTO but for over 30 grand, no way. I dont need all the bells and whistles, just a V8 5 speed and decent handleing.

My kids are really pushing me for a Mustang GT.

And I have to admit that freshly styled and engineered, 300 hp, 5 speed Mustang for under 25K is tempting.
