Well, since the question was using performance & price as the metrics to base the decision on, so the back seat doesn't really enter into it, my guess is this Z/28 will likely price the same as the base 'Vette. So since we're already dropping 50 large on the thing I'd just go ahead & put another 6k on it & get the Grand Sport & have something that, stock-for-stock, is just as fast in the straight line & should handily trounce the Z in the curves. Now admittedly a Z with 6k in mods should be able to meet or beat the GS' performance. But modding wasn't part of the question. BTW Grand Sports do look a little different & you don't see 1 every day.
