Base, midgrade, or loaded. How did YOU actually get your Camaro?
I ordered my original '02 SS with the parameters of 6 speed, t-tops and leather. Anything else was flexible. Well, I got screwed out of the Navy Blue Metallic with neutral leather when the dealer sold it someone else. Soo...I went searching and found a 35th for about the same price (couple grand under sticker). It has everything except traction control. No biggie. With all of the rebates I had stacked on top of an awesome deal with my salesman, I was out the door with a 35th anniversary SS coupe for $28k and change (including tax, tag, title, etc.). The car stickered for just over $32k.
A new Camaro would most likely be an SS. I have 2 SS's ('87 Monte and the Camaro) and want to add to the fleet. However, if the car is priced a tad out of range, I'll stick with the most power I can get in the cheapest trim.

I bought used because A) they dont make camaros anymore, and B) I cant afford a new one at 17 yo anyway...
My car is a 95 Z28 with every option except leather and stereo upgrades... both of which I have upgraded myself, so you could consider my car loaded.

Well, mine was $25,800 in '97, to be exact
So I dare say, yes it was fully loaded...anniversary package, leather, t-tops, PEG-2, CD changer, everything except TCS. Therefore, it is exactly the way I would have wanted to buy a USED one (bought it March '01 with 41k on the clock).
Now, if I had bought it new, it would have been a basic Z28 with the power group, t-tops, and yes, the anniversary package (only $595 in '97). I would not have opted for leather, the CD changer, or even a nicer stereo...cassette would have been yanked anyways. I never would have paid for mine brand new. Hence why I push so hard for that damned base car V8

Even though I own a base RS now, (but want an IROC also) if I could have bought one new I would have ordered a loaded 350 TPI IROC-Z28 the 1st year they were available, in 87.
If we had a setup like the 1st Gen it would be a Z28, with chambered exhaust.

I voted for the Camaro I bought new in 98. It was a V6 car with T-tops, Auto, Alloy wheels, Upgraded Stereo w/tape deck (didn't want, but settled for).
That's it, so I put down Base V6 w/ little or no options.
Z28 prices were out of my league and I couldn't find a good used one that I'd be happy with at the time. I did find it 2 years later, and am driving it now!

I bought my 93 Z new. The only options I wanted for sure was 6 speed and a CD player. It also had power windows, locks and driver seat, fog lights, rear window defroster, floor mats, Z rated tires and the 150 mph speedo. T tops hadn't came out yet and leather wasn't available in 93. I liked the way my car was optioned and had I ordered it I wouldn't have changed a thing.
Z28 Loaded: T-Tops, Leather, Power Seat, Premium Sound Option, TCS, Key-Less Entry, Security Alarm
On 4th Gen. F-Bodies there should have been a 17" wheel option for the Z28. 16" wheels just didn't cut it with that kind of power.
