Please no......no more odd shapped space sports car design like the 4th gen. Get back to long nose/short deck design PLEASE!

they're nothing to do with anything. those shapes are just paint code hosts, designed to let designers and execs understand the vagaries of different colours, shades, metallics, flak sizes etc on a variety of curved surfaces, and the way the light interacts with the colours at different angles, as you'd find on most cars.
these might be unique to GM (i've seen them over here as well), but most companies have their own versions, which, i must say, aren't dissimilar to these.
no future design hints here.
