Aussie 3V 5.4 goes 11's in Mustang.

I thought this was an interesting thread. A Ford engineer got a hold of an Australian 3V 5.4, dropped it in his '96 Mustang....with some mods...and goes 11.99 @ 114 mph.

You had me interested until I read, "with some mods." Really, once you introduce "some mods" into the equation, all comparisons are useless.

Uh,Would it make you feel better that the VCT wasnt working and he made up for it?

(he wasnt able to use the VCT due to the ECM he was using..)

Yeah, I know what you're saying. But most of the mods were in the chassis and drivetrain, not so much the motor.

Nevertheless, I think it's impressive.

Probably more significantly, is the word that these 3V heads, (which will soon be found in hundreds of thousands of Ford trucks), will bolt up to the current 4.6 motor. Hotrodders, take note.
