Anyone catch the R&T Srt-4 vs Ion Redline test?
Re: Anyone catch the R&T Srt-4 vs Ion Redline test?
The article from Sport Compact put Ion on a dyno and measured 169 lbs-ft TQ and 197 HP. It's rated as 200 and 200, respectively. Which means that it actually outputs in the neighbourhood of 220 - 230 HP.
Despite its power, it managed only a 15.3 second 1/4 mi

Hopfully the Cobalt SS and Solstice get a turbo 2.4L for 2007MY
a Factory warrantied Stage 1 style kit should help make those that think the SS and Redline are underpowered. They may currently put out less power than the SRT-4 but they are still ahead of every other sport compact including the overpriced RSX.

I was just thinking about this, I always kinda thought of the Solstice as a Miata competitor. But this thing if the GXP model or whatever its called comes out and is nice. Couldnt it take a big chunk out of the sport import market. It looks good would probbaly be faster than the other sports compacts on the market, and if its forced induction that makes for easy mods.
