Any word on the GMT900 Silverado SS?
Re: Any word on the GMT900 Silverado SS?
I think a low cost 2wd reg cab LS2/6spd auto Silverado SS for around $28,0000 would be awesome.
Once AWD and superchargers come into play prices shoot up fast. I'd rather see a truck that more people can afford that is still under 13.99 in the 1/4mi.

Would some early info that I remenber reading about from C&G about a Supercharged Silverado have any merit now? Have things changed that much since that blurp on C&G a long time ago......

So realistically they could build a SS w/ LS2, 20"s, SS suspention, SS bumper/grill for $22,995.
even without the $3500 rebate thats $26,495, pretty good deal I'd say. They would sell like hot cakes. Now just imagine the same setup in the cheaper and lighter Colorado

With all that said a 6-speed automatic RWD 2wd short bed moderately equipped Silverado with an LS7 would be REAL tempting.

And quit posting stuff like you are the one who "knows" so much more than everyone else. Post what you know or don't post at all. Pretending like you are the GM guru in order to promote your website is becoming tiresome.

So are you going to post what you know?

I've always thought that if you were into cheap, RWD, V8, manual trans, transportation and didn't mind having a pickup..... a base 1500 Silverado would be a great entry point.
I just priced a Silverado 1500, regular cab, with 5.3 and 5 speed manual for (red tag) $15,963.
BTW, 2007 Tahoe info is up on Chevy's website.

The last AWD extended cab Silverado SS with the 345hp 6.0L costed around 40k i believe...too close to the SRT10 ram and much more expensive than the SVT, and the comparison didn't favor the SS. But with a 28k sticker price, it will have a lot more takers and it'd basically be in a class of its own really (where the SVT lightning used to reside).
