Just curious. With the right treatment the 07 would look really good as a SS.

Thanks

I agree, but with all the concern about CAFE, gas prices, etc....maybe a truck that gets 12 MPG on a light throttle day wouldn't be the best thing to release at this point.

The last one did the 1/4mi. in the low 14's. I don't think that is slow for an extended cab truck.

the 427SS Concept truck might give an idea of how this might turn out? But GM did make a BUNCH of other concept trucks before the production SS was released.

Right now I'd be happy with the Escalade drivetrain in a Silverado, but the upcoming supercharged engine would be much nicer

It better not *only* come in AWD crew cab config with just the 403hp 6.2 and 6-speed auto. The Silverado SS should be more than just a Sierra Denali clone.

Haven't heard anything but a union of our TB/SS and my Silverado would make one sweet Silverado SS.

LS3 regular cab 6 speed 2WD SS would be nice.

SS should be an engine, badge, bumper, and rims rim package.

I don't see a manual trans happening in a pickup truck in this day and age, especially with the performance and selection of the latest 6-speed automatic gearboxes. Paddle shifters best case scenario but I doubt even that will happen.

I am pretty sure the Lightning was out of production for most of the Silverado SS's life.

I've seen countless time slips and mag articles in the 14.8-15.1 range. Haven't seen any in the low 14s that were stock.
