any news on a V-8 grand prix??
any news on a V-8 grand prix??
just saw the new grand prix at the memphis auto show and loved it.there were rumors of a V-8 powered grand prix coming,is there any info on that??i assume it would be the same V-8 as the upcoming bonneville,oh by the way, what V-8 would that be??aurora?northstar?thanks for the info.
Chevy a year or 2 ago put a 5.3 V8 in an Impala, but it torque steered like crazy. In 2006, Impala is getting a V8, and it will either be RWD, or it will be FWD (and a new Chevy RWD sedan will be brought out alongside) with a V8. Being that Chevy put no real money on the 2004 restyle, I'd bet on the former not the latter.
I haven't officially heard anything about Grand Prix going V8. I'll point out that the Bonneville GXP will have a version of the Oldsmobile DOHC V8 next year. I'll also point out that the current Bonneville line will be replaced after the 2006 model year, guessing by a car that the GXP is setting the stage for.

Yea...They call it a GTO
. Seriously though, It should be coming. I'm thinking the new GTO (06) and the GP will problably / maybe share the same platform, and the GTO may be an option on the GP. With GM going RWD, it will / can be easy for GM to pick an already exhisting chassis and make a new Camaro too. It just wasn't feasible for the Camro to have its own platform selling 35k units a year.
