Re: Another not so good GM dealer experience

super,

You're in Abington, I'm in Easthampton...give me a call...413-297-5587. I will get back to her ASAP on a G6. I'll make it as easy as possible!

Sorry to see you sold the '95, but glad you still got the '83! Quite a quick '83, I see

Re: Another not so good GM dealer experience

Another bad experience...
My cousin took his Grand Am in to a local Pontiac Dealer(where he bought it) for some service to the fuel injectors. They promptly worked on it, and it was done the next day. When we(I took him to get it..)went to pick it up, it began knocking loudly as soon as he fired it up.
We told the service manager, who called the mechanic over, and when asked about it said it ran smooth and quiet when he test drove it and parked it, but he seemed real nervous.
We all went out and listened to it, and they agreed to check it out. We waited while they pulled off the pan, main caps, rod caps etc...
They came out and said they'd have to rebuild the bottom end, and it wasn't their fault, or responsibilty, even tho it ran perfect when dropped off.
My cousin didn't have the cash right then, and so asked them to just put it back together. They were going to charge him a couple of hundred dollars for tear down and reassembly, even tho it was damaged under their care. I even asked the owner of the Dealership, who was there, what he could do...His reply was NOTHING, my mechanic says it wasn't our fault, we're not doing anything.
I ended up taking a look at it for him, and someone had revved it so high that a piece of oil seal had jammed the oil pump bypass valve open and caused the knock. I never put any parts in it and had it running like new in a few hours.

Re: Another not so good GM dealer experience

Well all i can say is the dealers knew well and clear she was serious about buying a car, she told all 3 that she was crosshopping and that she had $4K to put down and still havent heard a peep from the chevy or pontiac dealer. I think the worst part is that she bought her last car from the chevy dealer and now it seems that they dont care about selling her a new car. For my sake she has left 3 messages with the salesman she spoke to at the chevy dealer with no return call.

JasonE I am going to pass on your number to her and try and try and convince her to give GM another try, she knows it means alot to me

Re: Another not so good GM dealer experience

The # I posted is my cell...have her call me anytime. Keep in mind I only work at the dealer on Saturdays, so during the week I might not be as much help. We do have 13 G6s in stock right now, and I will be there tomorrow...so have her give me a ring.

Not trying to solicit a sale, BTW...just want to help out, and make the point not ALL GM dealers suck
