Why, WHY did they have to kill Pontiac before the Ute was ever sold here?!

At least they sold a few G8 GXPs before they killed it. Maybe I'll buy one used someday.

The Holden Utes are seen as alternatives to cheap two door sports performance. Nobody ever buys them to haul serious loads. To that end, I think it would have been and ideal vehicle to send to NA. People sometimes just want something different, so it might be another opportunity lost for GM...

Btw, the Ford (FPV) F6 will leave the HSV GTS in a straight line and it's also a damn fine car (for a 4.0L turbo six ).

But my basic point is this (and I've stated this many times already), there are more goodies on the shelf for Camaro, should GM be willing to exploit that development path.

When I said better cars, it was only tongue in cheek, as there is nothing potentially as good as Camaro if GM would build it every bit as well as HSV.

The AP 4 or 6 pot racing brakes and the lowered, sports suspension would be ideal enhancements for Camaro, that would serve only to improve its on track credibility.
isnt this the same car?

I would imagine that it woudl be tough for the ford to beat this one. Could be wrong but..

No, that's a UK only S/C V8 and the car's basically an aftermarket supplier.

How many factory S/C LS2s/LS3s are there, that you know of?

Impressive, video, though!
