They're there, so are broken down japanese cars with 100,000 or so miles on them...My uncle just bought a CLEAN Honda Accord at auction with 130K miles, drove it "2" weeks, and the tranny took a qrap!...It's all subjective to how they are maintained...I have 180K on my Suburban and 173K on my IROC, both fully function and are clean and run and drive like new...and as you can tell by the miles I love to drive them..
..spiritedly!..if that's a word..

But what really matters (to me, at least) is the norm... the average... not individual experiences of my friends and family (although that's still going to account for something of course)

Nice to know that that 5-line sig rule doesn't apply as long as it is advertising and spin designed to promote your preferred car brand.

But for now, my sig serves a purpose. There have been at least 10 different threads I've seen in the last month or so where people have mentioned the whole 'American have bested the European brands' news topic.
Then you get the extreme guys who take it a step further and say... in just another few years we'll be passing the japs too! Woohoo! gooooo chevy! *** cars suck! etc, etc...
My sig is to make it apparent to everyone that there's still quite a ways to go before they should start making such comments.
Instead of making a thread about it in each of the forums its been mentioned, I figure I'll just put it in my sig. That also keeps things a bit more calm - not as much flaming from people who's feelings got hurt (as it seems yours have been since I'm pretty sure I could have a positive quote about Chevys in there and you wouldn't have made the aforementioned comment)
I took out the part for ya.
Now considering it is half-normal sized font, I'm slightly above or below the 5-line rule depending on your screen res.
