It is "reminscent" of the 1st Gen cluster, in that it has round pods, and they are "tunnelled" into the dash... but that's about all the "retro" I got from it....

This is what the dash reminded me of, though obviously wouldn't appear in a Chevy-sponsored intro.
If I recall, the dashboard itself was a lighter color or appeared lighter from the angle it was shown. I don't know that I'd read into it as a fifth gen preview.

Similar in theme, but the center pod was much bigger... they 3 pods looked to be equal in size, or close at least... plus the all-important white face gauges.

It's gotta be SOME sort of Chevy cluster....
We think a Camaro concept will be publicly shown in 6 months.... we know that auto journalists were shown future Chevy cars recently... I **REALLY** think it was from the 5th Gen... I mean REALLY

If ever I wished I was sports fan...This is it! They have been using 1st gens, in ads since back when the Camaro was first cut. I have been thinking since then, they've been trying to tip us off. Call me crazy ( I'm sure some of you already do) but, I do believe this was another tip-off. I guess you, and anyone else who's seen the ad will know in time, what it was you/they saw. Damn...I mist it! 
It only makes me wonder, if anything else, in the ad was meant as a tip-off? I've thought since before the current Mustang, they were going to look to the 1st gens for the next Camaro's styling, part of what made me think that, is their popularity with the masses( and considering the 4th gens were lacking in this area, it makes sense), but the rest had to do with them showing them alot, like someone on the inside is trying to tell us something. Quick shots like this, will only be picked up by the very perceptive, so to me it wouldn't really reach the masses, they wouldn't have a clue what they saw. So they wouldn't really be giving anything away. Only a true Camaro enthusiaist would notice this. I would bet, you saw what you think you saw, we shall see! Damn, someone has to have taped it. Someone... please post it!
