905 horsepower in less than a minute.

This morning, I pulled out of my garage and went down the block. I turned left and found myself behind a Hemi Durango (335 hp). Afew seconds later I turned right and found myself behind a Magnum R/T (340 hp). Afew seconds later...still following the Magnum...I passed an SRT-4 (230hp) stopped at a light.

It was like I was in a Dodge commercial or something. Cool but weird.

Not a bad find.

I went to Walmart, Radio Shack, and the Hospital today to visit my mom, and there was a Magnum R/T at each one. I coudln't believe it since this is was the first day I've actually seen an R/T version of the car... They were all Pearl White too. It would be a wierd coincidence if they were all the same one. Well...its a wierd coincidence anyway.

I have yet to see the Magnum R/T either at a dealer or on the road?

You may see an explosion of Magnums soon. They just started Magnum production, and last week there was a "hold" on 300 production because of some problems with their deck lid......so they've been exclusively assembling Magnum's for afew days.

I haven't seen any Magnums yet, but when I was down in Vegas last weekend there were tons of 300s. I don't know if there were rentals or resident's cars, but I'd see at least one wherever I went.

Maybe it's just because they stick out so much.

Where in Ontario are you from? They are made in your province. If you ever travel the 401 towards Detroit you see basically a constant line of trucks bringing them down.

Yup, made in the old AMC plant in Bramalea. I don't travel the 401 much so I guess I'm not exposed to 100s of cars on a daily basis.

I commute daily between Toronto and Waterloo, and yup, you're right - tons and tons of carriers going to Detroit. They are about 60% Magnu, 40% 300.

Haven't seen any Magnums in Ontario yet, and looks to me like they're not even selling them in Canada. Went to www.daimlerchrysler.ca and the only thing they're selling there (of the two) is 300, but only V6. No Hemi. Which is strange, since I have seen plenty of 300C on the roads here...

edit: checked their site again, and hemi is available.

Same with Sebring coupe. Not anywhere on their site, but a number floating around Toronto.

Dodge isn't big on selling cars up here. Remember when we had the Chrylser Concorde and Chrysler (instead of Dodge) Intrepid models? Real brilliant marketing .

If Chrysler is dumping 300's into rental fleets... that is not a good sign.

It's an up for market share but death to resale value.

If they are selling them to rental companies, that would explain why I see so many a day here next to Walt Disney World, rental car capital of the world.

Anyone know if 300's are being sold to rental companies?

Thrifty uses Chrysler cars excusively. The 300 is their top of the line luxury rental.
