60,000 orders on the books for 300.
That's after one month....double what the PT Cruiser did it's first month.....

Doesn't surprize me in the least that Chrysler is selling these things as quickly as beer at a barbecue. They have most certainly caught on like crazy here in California...after just 1 month.
But the fact that these things are outselling the PT Cruiser when it was at this stage in production just blows me away!
If Chrysler generated 60,000 orders after just 1 month, and GM's best selling car, the Chevrolet Impala, is selling at just under 20,000 per month, seems the new 300 series is on track to be the best selling car in the US.
Even more remarkable is that Chevrolet has about 5,000 dealers and Chrysler has, what? About 1500?!!
No wonder dealers don't seem to be wanting to add on markups!

I think they are selling so well because every age group is attracted to them. At first glance youd think "grandma car" but middle-aged people are buying them, and even people from my high school have talked about them.
the only thing id like to see more, is something done with it like the ctsv... where you get the hemi with an optional manual, some more aggresive styling cues here and there, bright colors (only availible on this performance model) and of course dual exhaust.

The SRT-8 version will get the 6.1 Hemi, 20" wheels, more agressive styling and a six speed............depending on who you believe...that six speed might be a manual or auto.

Just when you thought the 300C was excessive, an even more powerful model is coming. Kudos to Chrysler. If the quality stays up on these things, Camry and Accord could be facing some SERIOUS competition for that top selling spot!

Doesn't surprise me. DC has been hot as of late.
Btw: Is it just me, or does almost every Durango and Ram on the road have the Hemi option??

Yeah in the last month or two I have quite a few of these. They look decent and 340 ponies is pretty nice, but I don't really have respect for a company that tries pass it off as something much nicer (Bentley). Oh well, it wasn't the first time and won't be the last I'm sure.
I wonder if DCX will end up creating a second assembly plant for the LX cars...as they had to do with the PT Cruiser?
The Brampton, Ontario plant has a capacity of 237,000 units annually. The 300, Magnum, Charger and other LX variants were all slated for assembly at Brampton.
I was reading something afew months ago that said that Chrysler was projecting 70,000 annual 300 sales. I think it's safe to say that number will be easily exceeded.

Not sure what the % is. But, I think the Hemi in the Ram is like 60%? Maybe higher. But, on another note, Hemi badges are for sale on ebay. Beware of the truck ricers!
