I think the most telling thing about the ZR-1 was how much it was priced over the base Corvette. Another reason I don't think people bought into the ZR-1 was that for the amount of money they wanted, C4 build quality and dash layout was abysmal.

 

No doubt. A 1991 c4 coupe had a base price of $32,455k. The 91 ZR1 was an additional $31,683 on top of that. Nearly double the price! Instant failure in my book.

 

If such is the case, I may have to get out my HELOC checkbook.

 

I think anything south of $60,000 would be amazing, but I don't think it'll happen.

A fully loaded Z51 is north of $56,000, so I don't see Z06 being in that area.

I think $65,000 is a realistic estimate.

 

My thinking. A loaded z51 coupe is 56k. A loaded rag top is around 63k. I'm assuming the z06 will be fairly loaded as is, and of course it'll have a lot of unique parts as well and so i don't think 65k would be out of the question really.

 

It was published in a few magazines that the new Z06 would be at or asround $65,000.
