Heh, If it goes for $56k, I would most likely immediatly sell off my Avalanche and Camaro, apply for a loan for the rest, and pick one up.
Ah, although I would have to figure out what the wife would drive.. (certainly not the Z06

There's no way I can see that happening at $75k....

I could see something along the lines of 64k. The 2004 z06 had an msrp of 51-57k depending on options. And the c5 z06 wasn't as far derived from the regular c5 as this new c6 z06 will be from the regular c6. Given the stark differences as well as upgrades (over c6) and the price of the c6 convert, i don't think an msrp of 63-65 is out of the question.

At that price, I would expect the "ZR-1 effect"... sell a few thousand the first year, about half of that the next... then only a few hundred each year until it's discontinued.
I think ZR-1 proved that even a Super-Car Corvette won't consistantly sell at that much of a price difference over a "regular" Corvette.

It isn't like they're asking 90k for it. That's what a modern day ZR-1 would amount to since it costed 60k back in 1990.
I don't see it costing 75k, but i do see it costing somewhere around 63-65k. Perhaps 67k tops depending on options.

I guess this is the way I see the Z06 pricing situation:
$59,995 or lower: Ideal.
$60,000-$65000ish.... acceptible, but it will trim back sales a bit.
$75,000? It's a dead duck.
