View Poll Results: If the styling looked good should the next Camaro come with two rear folding doors?
No, It has always been a two door and should stay that way.

Yes, that's not a bad idea. It could make the next Camaro a lot more useful.

Arrow 4 door 5th Gen like Charger concept, what do you think?

The "Coupe vs. sedan" thread going on right now got me thinking with another subject concerning the 5th gen. Would you guys mind if the next Camaro came with two rear folding doors if the styling was still executed right like the Charger concept?

I mean if it looked good still why not? I for one think it makes sense. We will need more practicability than the 4th gens for the next Camaro to be a success. What are your opinions?

Are you insane? The thing I hate about the Mazda Rx8 are the rear folding doors!!!

Rear folding doors should only be found on extended cab pickup trucks!

I don’t know maybe I am crazy.

I really like the way Dodge incorporated the two rear doors. In my eyes it still has the two door "look" to it. I do think they should have made the rear doors a bit smaller. Not so wide.
Here is a pic:

But anyway I was just testing reactions. Bottom line is the door configuration is going to half to be a lot better on the 5th gen. Smaller doors and easier access to the back seat is a must. I thought two mini rear suicide style doors might help that problem.

What if the door were incorporated into the B pillar somehow and almost hidden in a way. So the car still looks like it only has two doors? Does that make it any better or am I preaching to the wrong people. Ok I'm going to take my crazy *** to class, I'll check up on this in a hour.

No way. Not on a Camaro. Thats kind of one of the reason I believe the Camaro will return. At least not until there is a strong market for muscle cars again.

No... Camaro is a 2 door sports coupe... I do not feel there is anyplace for extra doors on it.

The biggest reasons are awkward body shapes, and unsightly body seems created by the extra doors...

I'm not opposed to the idea being used on another GM car though.

I just hope it would 'flow' better than it does on the RX8.

4 doors have a negative impact on two elements. Weight, and structural rigidity. Resounding NO on that one. 4 doors are definitely NOT needed for a successful f-body.

what Darth Xed said..

plus I rather have them spend the time and money on tuning the performance...than figuring out how to get a 3rd door..

I've always been one for practicality, and that isn't changing as I get older. I think the extra doors would be very useful, and there's got to be a way to incorporate them without screwing up the lines of the body (keep in mind that the RX8 looks the way it does not because of the extra doors, but rather because of the long roofline and short rear overhang).
