The movie has drawn a lot of legal attention to the aftermarket. It has caused kids in economy cars to think they have race cars. The movie adds even more dangerous ideas. It has made it so I have a hard time enjoying my Vette or Camaro anyplace but the track. Do not think for one moment that they issue tickets for your safety. Its all about the money. Welcome to the Comunist United States.

Can we please stop talking about that silly stupid movie. It's because people give this movie attention (as well as the first one)That law enforcement / gov. are out for blood. Towns like Schaumburg IL used to have a small underground street racing community. Fast and the Stupid came out and then all of a sudden every guy who ever owned a FWD econmy car put a wing on it and came out "racing". Result, If I decide to get on my car in that town I coud be given a 10K fine and have my car impounded. Thoes ****ing awful movies have done more to hurt our hobby in the 4 hrs it takes to watch them than all attempts by all otheres in the past 20 years. Dumb A$$ movies like this, marketed to dumb A$$ kids will make it harder to modify and even buy the types of cars we love. DONT!!!! see the movie DONT talk about the movie DONT buy yout kids 2F2F rip off toy cars.. Pretend it doesnt exist at all. It will do us all a favor.

Are you serious? Don't see it, don't talk about it? Ok... Don't get carried away, now.

I do agree that it's unfortunate kids will go out and emulate street racing that is a dangerous and illegal activity, with no doubt many being seriously injured or killed. But that type of behavior was going on before the movie too. Perhaps the penalties for such activity should be made more public, and I wouldn't be opposed to raising the driving age (16 where I live). The public in general of all ages need to be more responsible when driving.

The current MotorTrend has an article about the cars, and this is the time they got with the EvoVII as well (15.something)...but they weren't permitted to launch the car hard. Obviously that is the key to that car's accleration numbers.
