So this model will be available mid-late 2015 as a 2016 model I suppose. Thats a long way away. Per this: "The new Duramax 2.8L is capable of 369 lb-ft of torque at 2000 rpm. Power is also increased, up to 200 hp."

If it gets near 30 (real world) mpg in that configuration, thats an attractive option. Looks like we'll have to wait and see.

Overall, I really like it. I still don't like the headlight area, but that's about it. They also have the crew cab standard box shown on the GM website! Finally!

 

I like it, seems more of a mid size than small truck though but I guess that's relative.

2015 Chevrolet Colorado First Look - Truck Trend


So much to read from several different sources, but from I have read, this truck seems very impressive.

Yes, GM said that from the start (plus we knew the dimensions already... been for sale overseas for almost 2 years now???) so yea, it's pretty much 2005+ Tacoma size.

 

Looks better than I thought. I still don't like how the glass on the rear of the cab sweeps up at the bottom. It makes the lines between the top of the bed and the cab look funky IMO.

Also for the lights I was hoping for something more Silveradoish. I'm not a fan of "car style" head lights on the front of a truck.

I'm hoping the Canyon looks more like it's big brother.
