GM is expecting 17/25. It looks to be pretty compact. It has a water-air intercooler on top of the engine and the turbos are packed pretty tight under the manifolds.

That motor might spread across a lot of Cadillac. I'm almost positive the ATS-V is getting a TT V6.

Excited about this engine, but I still think the ATS-V will get the small block.

I think otherwise since GM went through the trouble to develop this engine instead of just using the LT1. Its output is already in the ballpark where the next M3, C AMG and S4 is expected to be - all they have to do is turn up the boost a bit. The CTS-V will have a FI V8 though.

There's going to be more than a few nervous people in the Camaro community if the ATS-V is a turbo V6.

I'm not going to jump to conclusions if that is the case, but you know the "holy crap Alpha wasn't engineered for a V8" posts are queued up....

Re: 2014 cts

CTS will also be on a version of Alpha. The V8 won't be a problem.

Re: 2014 cts

The small turbos look similar to the ones on the LNF. Also sounds close to the stock boost run in the LNF (just over 12psi). Hopefully GMPP offers a performance upgrade kit after these hit the market.

The LNF in my Solstice GXP puts out 16 lbs of boost. I've heard of others with slightly more boost.

The NEW 2.0L turbo 4 might put out less. I don't know what the RPO code for the NEW 2.0L turbo 4 is. According to GM, the old & new 2.0L turbo motors are different.

Re: 2014 cts

The turbo 4 in the ATS/Malibu is the LTG
The turbo 4 in the Regal/Verano is the LHU

Both put out up to 20 lbs of boost depending on application.

Re: 2014 cts

I wonder if this engine will play a roll in the freshened performance enhanced 2014 Camaro.

Saw some old posts on the internets when I searched google for LF3. There were internal GM service documents showing a LF3 twin turbo V6 model of the Camaro for 2014.
