2013 Chevy Traverse
Re: 2013 Chevy Traverse
I don't care for it. I wasn't a fan of the old Traverse, but the old one seemed to have more character/identity than the new one. The new one looks very generic IMO. You could easily put a Kia, Honda, etc. badge on it and I'd believe it.
It probably doesn't matter at all though, just based on the type of vehicle it is. And it's not bad looking; so if people like it then I'm good with it

Re: 2013 Chevy Traverse
Considering they did an overhaul of the interior and gave it a whole new nav unit, I'm disappointed in the fact that the nav still looks like it was an aftermarket install by Best Buy.
The tail lights remind me of something from a Subaru.
Otherwise I think the front end looks better (if not a bit bland, still unquestionably better) and the interior looks much nicer, though still only sufficient for the next 2-3 years until the ground up redesigns come out.

Re: 2013 Chevy Traverse
Complete garbage. I had higher expectations of the "Crossover direction" than this.
You're going to see 3 different Chevrolet designs.
Pick-Up
Crossovers
Cars
Three different styles.
The "crossover" look is boring and uninspiring.

Re: 2013 Chevy Traverse
I think the current Travers looks fine up front. This one looks more crisp and fresh, but admittedly a bit generic (or Honda-ish, anyway). I still think it is handsome. Further, it is FAR better at the rear end (the weak point of the current exterior). And the interior is very nice update, as well.

Garbage? If you say so.

The crossover look is actually more in-line with what Toyota is doing with THEIR crossovers.
Maybe copying off Toyota, being able to name Honda and saying the new Chevy's are "crisp" and "fresh" all mean the new Traverse is already.......stale?!?
Re: 2013 Chevy Traverse
When I look at the new Traverse grille:

I see this:

I guess it's the large size of the grille, the black background, the horizontal chrome bars running thru it, and the chrome surround.

Re: 2013 Chevy Traverse
You are right. If you look at all the comments by people who don't like it they say it doesn't look corporate enough.
