That's the claim from Porsche. According to Wiki, Sport Auto went back 7 months later and ran it to a little slower time.

Either way, I never thought I'd see the day where you could walk into a Chevy dealership and buy a car for a bit over $100k that was one of the top dogs on a track like the Nurburgring; eclipsing cars like the Ferrari Enzo and every model Lamborghini out there.

Damn. It looks like he is driving well on to the grass in some parts. That car is a monster. I don't see these cars ever coming down to the affordable price range like the Z06. It is still nice to know that it is out there.

Speaking of Z06 this is the second "Official" ring time GM has recorded with the ZR1 yet the only "Official" time for the Z06 is 5 years old and since then there have been many more significant changes to it versus the ZR1. It would be real nice to see a ~7:30 lap time from the Z06!! The Goodyears it's "Official" time was set on are among the worst especially compared to the Michelins one can order the car with today.

I wonder how the 2nd gen GY Supercar tires would rate? The 1st gen tires were absolute crap.
