Looks like it will be a nice evolution of the current design. It is more aggressive. Like the Camaro and current Malibu had a baby.

So what type of patent requires demonstrating the complete exterior design of the vehicle?

I don't know, just guessing but....you know how some Chinese companies rip off complete designs?

As if silly things like patents and copyright filings have ever discouraged the Chi-Coms before.

I would hardly call these rough sketches "complete renderings". Looking at these things it could almost be any car, I will withhold any judgement until better renderings or pics are released.

Wow, I thought I'd be the only one who thought that.

Well, it can't be any worse looking than the current Malibu.

Most important thing I got from the article:

One of America's strongest mainstream mid-size sedans, the Chevrolet Malibu...

3 years ago, NO ONE would have said that about the Malibu.

I am slightly confused... how much can be done and something still be considered a refresh? I'm guessing like the mustang? Overall cabin and underpinnings remain the same, but new nose, tail, interior, and engine options? The pics look like the whole car was slightly reworked?
