And the V6 is a heck of a performer.

IIRC correctly Motor Trend got like a 14.4 out of the Camaro V6. The Mustang V6 should be able to beat it decently.

Although I hate mag drivers.

It ran 13.7@102mph which is why I was surprised to see those comments. I expect a lot of praise for the V6, but that was not a good start. Hopefully it was just a jaded opinion.

I'm waiting to see if one of those bolt-on's is a turbo or supercharger and how much power the bottom end can safely handle (live a long life).

I'm thinking 400rwhp might be doable, but thats just a guess.

You know used V6's are going to be everywhere and cheap (value drops hard on them) so this would make a great budget play car/DD.

Car and Driver was the only ones I seen write anything like that.

They are now, but in a few years the 3.7's should be as well. It may be a great V6, but at the end of the day its still just a V6 from a low $20k, high volume car.

Got to love the horsepower wars, even on the V6's these days. Awesome.

Now lets see Ford introduce direct injection on their V6 in a year or two and blow this out of the water.

I would guess a different tune. But realistically it could be a lot of things.

Another site said they just rated it with 91 octane, instead of 87.

Woo.
