2011 Sonata Convertible?
I'm sure it's going to smoke the hell out of the Sebring in terms of sales, reviews, etc.
Did the reviewer forget about the PT Cruiser, Mustang, G6, 9-3, Solara, Eclipse, G37, IS, Beetle, Eos, 911, Cooper/Cooper S, 1-series, 3-series/M3, 6-series/M6, CLK, C70, and the A4/S4 when writing the sentence, "The Long-running Sebring has been alone in the 4-seater convertible market for several years."? And that's not even counting Wrangler or anything from Bentley or Rolls Royce.

I have to say, IMO, the Sonata convertible looks better than about a third of the cars I listed.
It doesn't scream anything, and it doesn't break any new styling ground, but it's a classy look with no blunders, and it doesn't look like it was designed by committee.

PT Cruiser...seriously? (I know there is a convertible version...but still)
G6 & Solara are both discontinued. Everything else you listed is either much smaller, or more expensive. You're taking the "4-seater convertible market" comment too seriously. I believe he is referring to more of a midsized convertible such as the Sebring.
Probably true, but I've long been an advocate for saying what you actually mean. He may have meant to say something that was correct, but he failed miserably. Regardless, a few of the cars I listed are comparable in size and price to the Sebring, and although you're right that a couple of them have been discontinued, he still said that it had been the case "for several years," which is clearly false. I only listed cars that were available in MY 2005 and later. I hope you won't argue that 6 could reasonably be called "several."
Yes, I'm disappointed with the track and autox potential of the 5th gen, however, there were 2 bigger factors that drove our decision to trade the 5th gen on the 135i Cabrio. 1) we realized on a 1,600 mile road trip the weekend before we picked up the 5th gen that our Solstice wasn't going to cut it as as our touring car until the 5th gen 'vert was released and, 2) I had (and continue to have) little confidence that GM will address my comfort and convenience wishes for the 5th gen and 5th gen 'vert in particular.
My hope for being all GM again is on the Alpha Cadillac convertible, but only if they go with a fabric roof.
Wonder if they will make a malibu coupe/convertable like they did with the G6.
I assume the malibu is going to be redone soon I haven't kept up on the future stuff.
FWIW, my mom had 2 Sebring converts, and her last car was a G6 convert. Was a great car leased it though, returned it in pristine condition like 6,000 miles below the lease too. She upgraded to an Escape.
Granted they were softtop sebrings, but the G6 blew them away. Actually made me think kind of shunoff Chryslers for build quality and reliablility. I think there is a hardtop sebring vert now?
Also is this Sonata a hardtop or softop convert?
Caddy needs to bring something like the XLR back but make it ballsy.

Let's stick with the threadjack ... I don't feel like looking for the posts. In simple terms, every comfort and convenience option that is available on any Chevy, car, truck or SUV except for maybe the Corvette, should be available on the Camaro. Plus, I want an integral, preferably automatic, tonneau cover.
