2011 Mustang NOTCH

I came up with this because I always liked the noth backs better, and wondered what a new ody style notch would look like, I don't think it looks too bad how about you?

The car is already a notch...

It has a more raked rear window than the old Fox body notch, but it hasn't been a hatchback body since the '94 redesign.

Cool drawing, but I think I like the profile of the current car better, though yours would allow better trunk access, perhaps.

looks like the front half of a mustang, and the rear half of a challenger. Sorry, but i dont like it, but its pretty much a combination of two cars i dont like so that could be why

A Mustang is supposed to be a fastback. Leave the notchback for the Challenger/Barracuda.

wow, you guys are brutal.

The mustang had a notchback version from 1964 through to 2004. The 2005+ model is a fast back. It's modeled after the 67 fastback.

The C-pillar does look a little like some other cars... like that never happened in real cars.

I think it looks good, that's all I'm saying.

Fox-body Mustangs came in either notchback or fastback versions. Fastback was more popular at the time, but the notch versions are more sought after (and more expensive) now.

I'll take a notch if it cuts a couple hundred pounds. I got excited thinking this thread was about Fords plan to do just that.

sorry about that,

I would also like to see a lightened mustang (especially in my design). However with this particular car I was picturing a new 6.2L underhood mated to a 6 speed, air ride suspension 20 and 22's and a hand stitched leather interior. Kinda like a high class mustang.

PS, as for it looking like a Camaro, I asked my son (who turns 3 in march) if he likes it and he said "Yeah Mice Bustang", and he is the type of kid who can point out every mustang corvette, ferrari, nissan porsche....... etc etc. If he can tell it's a "Bustang" and you can't.........

Well, if he can point out Mustangs with ease then I'm sure he knew what the big pony was in the picture. Might tip ANYONE off that it's a Bustang. And anyways... who said it looks like a Camaro?

I don't care for it much either, but I can't stop looking at the 30" wheel in the back... so that might be throwing off my opinion a little.

That was before I put the pony up, but anyway, a lot of people are saying it looks like a camaro, but the 26 inch rims in the back are just because it's a drawing and I can.

They thought it sucked, too.

There were millions of Tauruses and K-Cars sold, too. That doesn't mean they didn't suck.

Fox body Mustang was a complete p.o.s.
