wow... ford is really trying to camo those cars with full badging, gt500 stripes, and shelby spelled out across the back . Its interesting that the gt and v6 have completely different front fascias, whereas the gt now just has different lights. Its also interesting that they are driving around every single model. are the gt500 and verts going to be released at the same time as all the other cars? That would be a real achievement i would think. I guess it wouldnt be that big of deal though since the car is really just receiving a facelift, which i think helps the car, but i still hate the looks of the ugly cars...

Does the current GT500 have SVT on it like this one does?

I heard Shelby is done with cars in 2009. It might be true if the new Ford Mustang has SVT badges instead of Shelby. Or if it had both, it could be the transition year where Shelbys become SVTs.

Actually there is a difference in the front facsia between the V6 and GT, the bumper is more pronounced on the GT along with a few other small details.

hmm, i wondered if i was right as i typed it, but didnt feel like googleing it to see. I figured someone would tell me if i was wrong. It just seemed to pop out more on these, but maybe its because i was taking a closer look at them than i normally do mustangs

Looks like they tried to incorporate the Giugiaro Mustang concept into the production cars, and it didn't work out too well. The new front fasicas don't look very aggressive - in fact, it's a step backwards.

And the interior looks like crap. Looks like Ford has the same problem that Dodge has with the Challenger - all the money was spent on the exterior, and they skimped on the interior.

I think the interior is much improved over the current Mustang,it doesn't look as gimmicky-retro like the '05-09,this looks like a grown-ups interior. So the Challenger interior is too blah, the Camaro's is too weird,so the Mustang falls in the middle. I like it.
I like the all black front of the GT,it's really visible here as in the Ford teaser shot, the space between the headlights and grill will be black, that's really cool. The V6 is looking tough with that Shelby Front.

We all know how Ford stays way ahead on Mustang development...
Mr Farley just asked the MCA to solicit input from the club body on what we want to see in the next Mustang (as in post 2010 release). Some of the first responses were printed in this months magazine. It appears that they are already going to the drawing board for the major overhaul in 2014.

Yes, 2014.
April 17, 2014 will be the 50th anniversary of the Mustang.
MCA is being flooded with invites from road courses and racetracks everywhere to hold the party at their facility. The 40th was such an overwhelming success at Nashville. The 45th is already set for Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama on April 16-19, 2009.

GT looks a lot better than the V6 to me. I'm glad the Camaro V6 has 99% of the great looks the SS has.
