2010 Mustang GT Pricing
2010 Mustang GT Pricing
According to Autoblog, base price for the 2010 GT Premium will be $30,095. That's within spitting distance ($900) of a 1SS. Looks like 18 inch wheels and Sync are standard now.
The 4.6 got the same upgrades as the Bullitt so it'll be putting out 315hp. No 6spd yet. Just a 5spd with optional 3.73. We won't be seeing the new powertrain changes till probably 2011.
I'm gonna take a guess and say that the GT base will come in at around $28k going off the $935 price increase the GT premium got (current GT base is $27k).

I wonder if the Camaro SS will out sell the Mustang GT in 2009
Price? I'd give it to Mustang.
Ease of credit? GM doesn't have in house financing unless you can almost pay the thing off in cash (via 700 credit score).
There are far more Mustang fans than Camaro fans, so that also works against Camaro.
Value? Tossup so far.
But I'd say this is the first Camaro that has a crack at the Mustang in a very long time!
The Dodge Challenger is doing surprisingly well, and it's more conservatively done.
The new Mustang looks like a more attractive version of the current one with all the gripes about the old one fixed. Camaro is the new kid on the block, back after being away for 8 years.
We'll have to stay tuned for this one.
GM doesn't need the in house financing for credit unless it is trying to run a special financing rate. Have you heard of anyone actually going to a dealer and not being able to buy a vehicle because they didn't have a 700 credit score?
But if you're talking about getting 2.9% (example only) on the GT and you're getting 8.9% on the Camaro, which way will the customer sway?
Right now IMO the Camaro is the better deal on paper (styling is subjective and irrelavent as far as I'm concerned). If Ford can bring the 400hp 5.0 in without any increase or a minimal increase in price it will be an either or deal.
