Mustang is supposed to be restyled in 2010.

2008 is supposed to be minor tweaks. Things like tail lights, grille texture, maybe a new front bumper, interior changes. Things like that. I've heard some sheet metal changes, but nothing drastic.

2008 Mustangs will also be slightly heavier. All Mustangs will be getting thicker floor stampings like is on the Cobra. Not much heavier. I'm guessing about 15-20 pounds.

I suspect it was more than sketches.

Ford does cooling tests with front ends of their new cars attached to the bodies of existing cars if it's on the same chassis, and adds or subtracts weight as necessary to match the new car. That way, they aren't giving away the whole car in case of spy photogs, but even more important... it's cheap (remember, we're talking about expensive hand made parts here). They've done it this way for over 20 years.

IIRC, all mustangs recieved the upgraded sheetmetal in the transtunnel/floorplan already, I believe its on the order of 70 pounds total.
