2008 superduty

so the new fords are starting to hit the lots i guess. Our ford dealership just got in 2 of them one white, one gray, and they are both pretty much loaded at $50k+.

Sorry but... night+lights+cellphone camera+a little movement=crappy pics, but you get the idea...

I personally think they are pretty ugly, especially the front

The bed doesnt look changed too much but it does look almost smoother, or more rounded

and the headlights make me think that they tried to copy gm's look, but i think they failed bigtime

i had seen pics before but seeing the truck in person made me think that there are alot of cues from the super chief (or whatever it was called) concept truck. The interior looked decent, although i didnt like the dash and gauges all to much, but my friend who works there said it was awesome . It has the new 6.4 twin turbo powerstroke, and i was told it ran as good as the 6.0, but they werent quite sure it ran any better. Maybe this motor will stand a little work though unlike the crappy 6.0's

I really don't like those vertical grill parts. The rest is fine. With a twin turbo 6.4 it had better run better than the old engine.

Ugly as always. Wouldn't expect anything more from Ford with their SD line.

I don't think any kind of camera can pretty up that face. That's just an ugly truck.

I'm really not impressed with the latest domestic full-sizers

Really liked the looks of prev-gen SD/HD trucks, these are a little overdone. The headlights are too thin, the grille is too much.

The previous ones were aesthetically pleasing, yet still showed they were powerful, not your regular run-of-the-mill truck. These aren't the best looking.

I think the new 6.4L is supposed to put out LBZ type numbers (as is the new Cummins).

I think the grille is a bit overdone, though white is probably not the best color for such a huge vehicle...

And after taking a look at the new SD in person - as well as the 6.4L on a stand - I'm thinking that it's set up to produce far more than "just" 350 HP. I mean, check out the size and number of the heat exchangers! Yes, I understand that the new emission rules add some cooling demand, but this goes above and beyond that.

Judging by the grill area of the new GM HDs, the General intends a proporiate response.

I thought it interesting that Ford decided to put a F450 in the Super Bowl commerical last night to show the new SD. Also, that was a pretty cool commerical.

It looks like an International school bus cab to me.

The old ones were sharp to me, they looked serious...this just looks cartoonishly stupid.

I'm surprised at this whole bigger is much better mentality with Ford and Toyota with fuel prices the way they are....I thought the OEM's stood to learn a lesson recently? Pushing that brick down the highway has to be an enormous task.
