Wow, it looks like a Hyundai Sonata. More powerful V6 probably means more chances for the already weak automatic to break.

Looks to be big step forward IMO. The current Accord's front end and headlights always looked odd to me, as if they had to borrow the headlights from some other car and make them fit the Accord. The new one is more conventional and looks to have a bit of Passat in it which is not a bad thing. Sure it's playing it conservative (as it has to), but does a better job at that game than, say, Camry or Impala.
The camo on that car plus the nature of spy shots in general makes it very difficult for anyone to accurately say it's ugly or that they don't like it (unless they've already got their mind made up that they won't like it no matter what it looks like because they don't like Hondas in general)
I have seen the coupe pics and that's a damn good looking car. The sedan - I'll reserve my judgement for the REAL pics.
What was the last year that Honda had issues with auto trans failures? It has been quite some time now. The Acura TL-S with automatic has been handling that kind of load with no problems, and the MDX and RL have been handling more than that without problems. I don't think it's safe at all for you to assume that anything like that has a high probability. I'm suspecting Honda has reacted appropriately to the backlash from the auto trans failures and probably is doing as much as they can to keep any more of that from occurring.

That's really akward looking for a Honda. Are we sure that's not a Hyundai or Kia?
If that really is a Honda, and it sells for a Honda price, at those really friendly Honda dealers (sarcasm), then I'd place my money with Saturn's Aura in a sales competition between the two.
