Cool Re: 2008 Cts.

Nice find Charlie!

Think this was staged?
(Not often a door is left open on a GM test track where a photographer can get a shot of the interior like that. )

Re: 2008 Cts.

Why is it that all Inside Line articles read like they were written by someone who picked up writing about cars 20 minutes ago? Sure...it will have all those brake lights along the rear....

Loooks promising. Some elements in the current CTS I don't like, some I do.

I hope direct injection is on the way. The real question is will it be a Northstar V8 in the V Series or LSX engines.

Re: 2008 Cts.

OK... that is NOT the Cadillac that Mr. Lutz showed on 60 Minutes.... the headliamps are CLEARLY different, and perhaps the grille as well.

SO..... there are possibly TWO cars out there. One is obviosuly a CTS. But which? And then, what is the OTHER car?

Re: 2008 Cts.

im guessing theyre just using different lights. look at the tail lights - theyre definately not production lights. the grilles look the same to me as well everything else seems to line up:

interior:

look at the back also:

btw i just noticed this rewatching the 60 minutes interview. look in the background. check out those buldges in the fenders

it almost looks like it could be the camaro. but i cant imagine the gm using the same design group on the cts and camaro...

Re: 2008 Cts.

You're right, Darth. There are definitely some big differences there. But the question is - was the 60 minutes car an early CTS prototype and details have changed since then, or could it possibly be a future STS update?

The "60 Minutes" front end is an early styling proposal.

Re: 2008 Cts.

Someone inside Milford Proving Grounds is *definitely* calling the KGP spies and telling them to be in a certain spot at a certain time. The car is posed and the door left wide open? Yea right. From what I've heard about the KGP people before, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they are paying off an engineer inside MPG to feed them info.

Yes it seems KPG has the hotline now over Dunne. That was a stage publicity stunt.
